SmartOS, kvm, vnc and keyboard

SmartOS.
I have had problems with the keyboard using VNC to connect to a KVM guest.
Keyboard mapping I mean.
The solution working for me was:

vmadm update <uuid> qemu_extra_opts="-k it"
